About Me:

I’m Jenny Trimble, a registered nurse and nurse educator with over 15 years of experience working with the adult and pediatric population. Certified by the Red Cross in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. I’m passionate about teaching real world safety skills in a ways that’s practical, fun, and easy to understand.

I’m also a homeschool mom of two and co-lead a homeschool enrichment program, so I understand the importance of needing a babysitter that is trustworthy, engaging, and knows what to do in an emergency.

This babysitting course is designed to build confidence, responsibility and life saving skills that they can use when caring for siblings, home alone, or out in the world.

  • This course covers some topics which children may be sensitive to including first aid topics where small amounts of blood may be shown on video and how to handle children throwing up.

  • There is no age that students are automatically ready to babysit. Babysitting is a big responsibility and all tweens and teens need maturity and confidence to take on that responsibility. They also need an interest in caring for children, as well as appropriate training. It is important that parents of a prospective babysitter agree that their child is ready to take on this responsibility, and be available to support them as needed.
